A Word About the Coral
TIA Midnight Acropora closely resembles the classic
Solomon Islands Purple Monster Acropora in both its smooth branch structure
and deep purple-blue coloration.
What makes TIA Midnight Acropora different is its broader and more complex
color range. In addition to the rich purple and blue base, the colony
develops bright yellow-green corallites, pink to magenta growth tips, and
subtle turquoise highlights across the branches.
The combination of Purple Monster-style structure with stronger multicolor
contrast gives this coral a distinctive appearance. It is an excellent
choice for collectors who appreciate the classic Solomon Islands Purple
Monster look but want a more colorful and visually detailed Acropora.
Care Requirements
Lighting
Moderate to High PAR (250–400). Strong blue-spectrum reef lighting helps
enhance the purple-blue body, yellow-green corallites, and pink growth tips.
Water Flow
Moderate to Strong, turbulent flow. Randomized circulation supports healthy
tissue growth, prevents debris buildup, and encourages natural polyp
extension.
Placement
Best placed in the upper half of a mature reef aquarium where stable water
parameters, strong lighting, and consistent flow support SPS coral growth.
