Frequently Asked Questions

What is your DOA policy?
We guarantee all corals to arrive alive on the first delivery attempt only.

To file a DOA claim, email clear photos or video of the coral in the unopened bag/container within 2 hours of the time shown as delivered on the carrier tracking page to tiacollectioncorals@gmail.com.

No DOA coverage is provided for carrier delay, missed delivery, misdelivery, courier handling, rerouting, or any weather-related causes (including heat, cold, storms, or temperature swings). Once the package is tendered to FedEx, all transit risk from carrier performance and weather is assumed by the buyer.

No refunds, replacements, or store credit are offered for color variation, pattern change, size difference, lighting difference, polyp extension, or personal preference. All corals may appear different under different lighting, water chemistry, or tank conditions.

For DOA claims that are approved under our policy, any compensation will be issued as replacement coral or store credit only, at TIA’s sole discretion. Cash refunds are not offered under any circumstances.

All live coral sales are final.
How much is shipping?
Tri-State (NY, NJ, CT): $24.99 · All other states: $49.99 · Free shipping for orders over $249.99.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the continental U.S. only (no shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or offshore territories).
How do you ship corals?
Via FedEx Priority Overnight in insulated packaging with seasonal heat/cold packs. We’ve been shipping successfully for 15+ years.
What days do you ship?
Orders are scheduled to arrive Tuesday–Thursday. Saturday delivery isn’t available at this time.
What if my shipment is delayed?
Shipping fees are absolutely non-refundable under all circumstances.

Our DOA guarantee does not apply to packages that arrive late, are delayed, rerouted, or affected by carrier issues or weather-related conditions (including heat, cold, storms, or operational delays).

In these situations, we do not guarantee replacements or store credit. In rare cases, we may choose to offer a courtesy replacement or store credit at TIA’s sole discretion, but cash refunds are never provided.

No refunds of any kind will be issued due to dissatisfaction, color expectations, coral appearance, size, or “not liking” the coral after arrival.

Our responsibility ends once the package is accepted by the carrier. Please choose a shipping date with suitable weather and ensure someone is present to receive the package on the first delivery attempt.
Do you offer refunds or returns?
We do not offer cash refunds or returns on live coral.

All live coral sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit for coral color, brightness, size, growth form, polyp extension, lighting differences, personal preference, or buyer’s remorse.

In rare cases where a DOA claim is approved under our policy, compensation may be issued as replacement coral or store credit only, at our sole discretion. Cash refunds are never offered under any circumstances.

Shipping charges are absolutely non-refundable under all circumstances.

Coral Care Best Practices

  • Acclimate slowly (drip method) and match temperature/salinity.
  • Dip all new corals to remove pests before introduction.
  • Quarantine when possible to protect your display tank.
  • Start new pieces in lower light; ramp PAR over several days.
  • Maintain stable Alk, Ca, Mg, NO₃, PO₄ within reef-safe ranges.
  • Ensure adequate flow based on coral type (SPS/LPS/soft).
