A Word About the Coral

TIA Jawlock Lokani  looks almost identical to the well-known Jaw Dropper, with a vivid green and yellow body accented by contrasting pink-red corallites. For collectors looking for Jaw Dropper-style coloration without an overly demanding coral, TIA Jawlock Lokani is a strong and reliable choice.

This colony has been growing near the bottom of our display tank, where it has remained healthy and colorful under less intense conditions. It has proven to be exceptionally hardy, adaptable, and easy to keep.

Lighting

Moderate to High PAR (250–400). Strong blue-spectrum reef lighting helps intensify the neon-green base, golden branches, and pink-red corallites.

Water Flow

Moderate to Strong, turbulent flow. Randomized circulation supports healthy tissue growth, prevents debris buildup, and encourages natural polyp extension.

Placement

Best placed in the upper half of a mature reef aquarium with stable parameters, strong lighting, and consistent water movement.

Water Parameters

  • Temperature: 76–79°F
  • Salinity: 1.025–1.026
  • Alkalinity: 8–9 dKH
  • Calcium: 400–450 ppm
  • Magnesium: 1300–1400 ppm

Reef Compatibility

Reef safe. Recommended for aquarists experienced with SPS husbandry.
