About the Invert

Tridacna derasa - The Derasa clam is one of the easiest giant clam species to care for. In the wild they reside along the sand beds adjacent to reefs. These clams require adequate lighting and nutrients in the aquarium to grow and thrive. They grow quickly and can even reach sizes of 2 feet!

The coral you receive will be very similar to the one shown in the photos. In most cases, frags are cut from the same mother colony; minor differences in shape are normal. Due to limited manpower, we are unable to photograph every individual frag - this also allows us to keep our pricing more affordable. After an order is placed and paid for, you are always welcome to request photos or a video of your exact coral. If you are not satisfied, adjustments can always be made before shipment.
