A Word of the Coral
TIA Signature Chromaflair Grafted Acropora was grown from just three original branches into the colony it is today. Over time the coral developed intense grafting patterns that create a striking mix of colors across the branches. This colony has survived power outages, pests, and years of growth in our system. One of the most fascinating aspects of this coral is that the grafted colors continue to evolve — different periods reveal slightly different color balances. Because of its history and appearance, many dedicated SPS collectors have traveled long distances just to obtain a frag from this colony.

Care Requirements

Lighting
Moderate to High PAR (250–400). Strong blue-spectrum reef lighting enhances the grafted coloration and keeps the coral vibrant.

Water Flow
Moderate to Strong, turbulent flow. Randomized circulation encourages healthy tissue growth and natural polyp extension.

Placement
Best placed in the upper half of a mature reef aquarium where stable parameters and strong lighting support SPS coral growth.

Water Parameters
Temperature: 76–79°F
Salinity: 1.025–1.026
Alkalinity: 8–9 dKH
Calcium: 400–450 ppm
Magnesium: 1300–1400 ppm

Reef Compatibility
Reef safe. Recommended for aquarists experienced with SPS husbandry.
