A Word of the Coral

I always think of TIA Mosaic as the cousin of our best-known Chromaflare grafted Tenuis.

I’ve been growing Signature Mosaic for just as long as Chromaflare, but somehow this colony has grown to more than twice the size. At this point, even my widest macro setup can’t fit the whole colony in the frame.

What I love most is how evenly grafted it is. Almost every branch shows grafting, and in some ways it’s even more consistent than Chromaflare.

Right now, these are the only two grafted Tenuis I’ve been growing long term. I’d really love to collect more grafted Tenuis in the future!!

Quick Specs
Type: SPS / Acropora tenuis (grafted)
TIA Lineage: TIA Neon Mosaic Grafted Tenuis

Flow: Moderate to Strong — random/turbulent circulation preferred
Placement: Upper half of a mature reef, where stable parameters and strong light support SPS growth
Coloration: Grafted mosaic of neon gold and deep sapphire blue across the branches; contrast deepens under blue-heavy light
Growth: Classic tenuis form — upward branching with prominent axial corallites
Reef Compatibility: Reef safe
Frag: Cut from established mother colony grown in our display for nearly two years, healed and encrusting before shipping
