We ship Monday through Wednesday for next-day arrival Tuesday through Thursday.

What is your DOA policy?

Corals are guaranteed alive on arrival only. Clear photo or video proof is required within 2 hours of delivery and must be emailed to tiacollectioncorals@gmail.com. Bags/containers MUST remain sealed in photos/videos to verify arrival condition. We DO NOT cover DOA caused by carrier delays, misdelivery, missed delivery, courier handling issues, or weather conditions. Once the shipment is tendered to the carrier, transit risk due to weather or carrier performance is assumed by the buyer. If delivery is missed, delayed, or rerouted by the carrier, the DOA guarantee is void. Corals dislodged from plugs during shipping is normal and not considered DOA. Place corals into your system as soon as possible for best survival. All live coral sales are FINAL.

Open the box promptly, inspect coral health, and float sealed bags to match temperature before introducing livestock. Use clean reef water for placement, avoid sudden salinity or temperature swings, and keep moderate flow and stable lighting during initial recovery.

What water parameters are recommended for long-term coral stability?

Maintain stable salinity, temperature, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and nutrient levels with minimal daily swings. Test consistently, avoid abrupt corrections, and match placement and flow to coral type (SPS, LPS, or soft coral) for best color and growth.

What placement and flow are best for SPS corals like this one?

SPS corals generally perform best in stable systems with stronger, turbulent flow and higher light zones. Start with conservative placement, verify polyp response, and adjust gradually to avoid stress from sudden parameter or light swings.

A Word of the Coral
TIA Blue Whale Acropora earned its name from the largest animal on Earth. Fittingly, it is also the largest colony I have personally grown in my system. Starting from a small piece years ago, this coral has grown into a massive colony now far larger than a basketball. Over time its coloration has continued to evolve, shifting subtly as the colony matured. Watching it grow has been one of the most rewarding experiences in the reef tank. There is something truly awe-inspiring about seeing a coral reach this scale while maintaining its beauty and vitality.

Lighting
Moderate to High PAR (250–400). Strong blue-spectrum reef lighting enhances coloration and supports healthy SPS growth.

Water Flow
Moderate to Strong, turbulent flow. Randomized circulation encourages healthy tissue growth and strong polyp extension.

Placement
Best placed in the upper half of a mature reef aquarium where stable parameters and strong lighting support SPS coral growth.
