Will I receive the exact coral shown in the photos?

No. This is a stock listing, so the photo is a reference image of our mother colony. You will receive a healthy frag cut from that same colony, comparable to the photo but not the exact piece shown.

How much is shipping?

Tri-State (NY, NJ, CT): $29.99 flat rate. Other eligible destinations, including Alaska: $49.99. We do not ship to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or other U.S. territories. Free shipping on retail orders over $299; auction wins do not qualify for that threshold.

What days do you ship?

We ship Tuesday and Wednesday only, year-round, for next-day arrival Wednesday and Thursday.

What is your DOA policy?

Live corals and other covered livestock are protected for 72 hours after actual delivery. Carrier delays are still covered: if a shipment is delayed, the 72-hour claim period runs from the carrier-recorded delivery time. Submit the claim form at https://www.tiacoral.com/pages/doa-claim within 72 hours of delivery; email alone does not open a claim. Include clear photos or video, and where possible photograph the animal in its original sealed bag or container before opening. Approved claims are resolved with replacement livestock or store credit; our DOA guarantee does not provide cash refunds, and shipping charges are not refundable. Two exceptions: if we identify a weather or carrier-schedule risk before shipping, contact you, and you ask us to ship anyway, loss caused by that risk is not covered; and a missed first delivery attempt voids eligibility. Corals dislodged from their plugs in transit are normal and are not considered DOA. Please contact us as soon as something looks wrong rather than waiting out the 72 hours.

How should I acclimate coral after delivery?

Open the box promptly, inspect coral health, and float sealed bags to match temperature before introducing livestock. Use clean reef water for placement, avoid sudden salinity or temperature swings, and keep moderate flow and stable lighting during initial recovery.

What water parameters are recommended for long-term coral stability?

Maintain stable salinity, temperature, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and nutrient levels with minimal daily swings. Test consistently, avoid abrupt corrections, and match placement and flow to coral type (SPS, LPS, or soft coral) for best color and growth.

How do I manage soft coral spread in a mixed reef?

Soft corals can spread quickly depending on flow, rock placement, and nutrient levels. Use isolated rock islands when possible, trim back overgrowth early, and maintain clear separation from slower-growing SPS and fleshy LPS colonies.

Do you offer refunds or returns?

All live coral sales are final. Because corals, marine fish and invertebrates are live animals we do not accept routine returns or exchanges for change of mind. Livestock health concerns are handled under our 72-hour DOA guarantee, which resolves approved claims with replacement livestock or store credit rather than a cash refund. Original and replacement shipping charges are non-refundable.
