A Word About the Coral
UW Oompa Loompa Splice Acropora is a grafted Acropora
featuring vivid neon-green growth against a deep purple-blue base.
TIA originally received this coral as a small frag directly from UW
and grew it into the mature colony shown here.
As the colony developed, the green grafting continued to spread and
form unique patterns throughout the branches. Each frag may display
a different balance of green and purple depending on where it is cut,
making every piece naturally distinctive.
Its bold contrast, unusual grafting, and documented origin make it an
excellent addition for dedicated SPS collectors.
Care Requirements
Lighting
Moderate to High PAR (250–400). Strong blue-spectrum reef lighting
helps bring out the neon-green grafting and deeper base coloration.
Water Flow
Moderate to Strong, turbulent flow. Randomized circulation supports
healthy growth, prevents debris buildup, and encourages natural polyp
extension.
Placement
Best placed in the upper half of a mature reef aquarium with stable
parameters, strong lighting, and consistent water movement.
