A Word of the Coral
LRO Buzz Lightyear Acropora is a classic SPS coral that has remained popular for years among reef hobbyists. Its beautiful multi-tone coloration and reliable growth make it a favorite choice for both collectors and reef keepers building vibrant SPS-dominated tanks.
Beyond its striking appearance, this coral is also known for being relatively hardy compared to many other Acropora varieties. With stable parameters and good lighting, it adapts well and grows steadily, which is why Buzz Lightyear continues to be one of the most beloved classic Acropora in the hobby.
Care Requirements
Lighting
Moderate to High PAR (250–400). Strong blue-spectrum reef lighting helps enhance the coral’s vibrant coloration.
Water Flow
Moderate to Strong, turbulent flow. Consistent randomized flow supports healthy tissue and strong polyp extension.
Placement
Best placed in the upper half of a mature reef aquarium where stable parameters and strong lighting support SPS coral growth.
